IF YOU'VE MADE IT THIS FAR THEN YOU KNOW
THAT THERE IS NOT MUCH FARTHER TO THE END. LORI AND I DECIDED TO
DEDICATE A PAGE TO THE BRANCH OF THE MILITARY THAT WE BOTH SERVED. THE
PICTURES ON THIS PAGE ARE NAVAL IN NATURE. THE FIRST SET OF PICTURES ARE
FROM MY TOUR OF DUTY ABOARD THE USS BLUE RIDGE, FLAG SHIP OF THE SEVENTH
FLEET. THE TOP TWO ARE OF THE BLUE RIDGE, TO THE LEFT IS A PICTURE THAT
WAS TAKEN AT HONG KONG, THE ONE ON THE RIGHT IS AT OUR HOMEPORT
YOKOSUKA, JAPAN.

The pictures below are of the Battle Ship
Texas which is a semi-permanent part of the San Jacinto Battle Ground
Memorial. It is a favorite stop for most everyone that has come to visit
us in Houston. These are from a trip we took with Cub Scout Pack 145 in
2000. |

The sunsets on Okinawa are
breathtaking, to say the least. Lori and I got to see many during our
stay on the island. The rose above is actually from in front of our new
house, we put it here to symbolize the fact that though we were trained
for combat, we spent much of our time in the promotion of peace. |
