Joseph Thompson: A boy grows up.
These first seven pictures are the required embarrassment pictures Joseph has grown into a formidable young man. Since moving to Angleton in the 6th grade he has made great strides personality wise.
Tennessee what more can I say. He went he saw he... well... met Girls. We went to Tennessee for Thanksgiving 2005 and spent quite some time on the road as you can see by the last picture in this group, (car head, kinda like bed head). He traveled to the Ocoee River, to Kentucky, to Look Out Mountain in Chattanooga, to Pigeon Forge and Back to Texas, we learned when we got home that he had somehow avoided taking very many showers while on the trip.
Springtime comes early in Texas (February) so we spent some time planting new flowers in front of the house. Joseph learned how to carry mulch, potting soil, and sand. Then he discovered how to show off his new formed muscles.
He helped Aaron celebrate his accomplishment on making Eagle Scout.
In July we were off to the Great Northwest, here is Joseph in his now familiar Gameboy pose. Once we arrived in Oregon it was a whirlwind tour of the Coast, his second favorite pastime of swimming was enjoyed. Then he learned that not all of the best beaches have warm water, but, they were great beaches none the less. He then took his "hood" pose to the Aquarium on the coast, his "Muscle Man" pose to Mount Hood and his "I'm a kid again" pose at the Oregon Zoo in Portland.
We then went to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry where Joseph got to play to his hearts content. I think his favorite thing there was the water powered rockets, since he stayed at that exhibit for at least an hour.
After all the fun at OMSI we headed for Uncle Steve's house for Bar-B-Que and some sleep. The next Morning was Joseph's 15th birthday and we had a surprise cake for him. We then took the Family Pictures and headed back into Portland to sleep, briefly.
Christmas in Texas with man's best friend.
On January 27, 2007 Joseph was Confirmed into the Catholic faith. (more pictures to follow) Aaron was his sponsor. Aaron also got to be an Altar server for Bishop Rizzoto.
