This past year (Nov. 2005 - Jan 2007) we finally got to take the boys to Lori and my childhood stomping grounds. They had a lot of fun in both places. It started out in November 2005 in Tennessee and Kentucky. These are just a few pictures from that excursion. Aaron started out the adventure at the Ocoee River Whitewater Center. It is where the 1996 Olympic White Water Competition was held in SE Tennessee. Then we went to Pigeon Forge and went to the NASCAR G0-Cart Track there. Then on to St. Mary's Kentucky to see where this branch of the Thompson Family started. 

Before we left for Tennessee Aaron organized a Blood Drive for the local area. That completed his requirements for his Eagle Scout. In April he received his  Eagle Rank in the Boy Scouts of America. The local Marine Society presented him with a certificate. Lori and I were extremely proud of him for this accomplishment.

In July We headed for the Great Northwest. We spent a whirlwind week in Oregon. Starting out on the coast and working our way inland. Aaron saw the place where Lewis and Clark are understood to have reached the Pacific Ocean, an Air Museum that now houses the Spruce Goose, Mount Hood, the Oregon Zoo, and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. He was exhausted after the trip and learned a valuable lesson in staying with his group when hiking on a mountain when three climbers were lost during the winter on Mount Hood (2006).

Aaron has been pursuing his greatest passion again this year in School, Tennis. He was undefeated in 2005-2006 and 13-3 in 2006-2007 so far. These pictures were taken right after he bought a new pair of Tennis shoes, notice the picture where they are keeping him in the air.

Halloween 2006 was the best one yet. Aaron had them crying and running. One little ballerina actually came out of her shoes in an attempt to get away from Aaron.
